Aberdeen Snowsports Centre Membership Update
I am pleased to announce some exciting new changes to our membership for this coming winter season. Aberdeen Snowsports Centre has joined forces with Aberdeen Snowsports Club (formerly Aberdeen Ski Club) to provide you with a membership that is affiliated with the governing body, Snowsport Scotland. Aberdeen Snowsports Club was once the biggest and most successful club in the UK and by merging with our centre we hope to take the club back to its former glory.
What does this mean for you?
The changes to our membership will not affect the running of Aberdeen Snowsports Centre and our club sessions will continue to run as normal. As the club will now be affiliated with Snowsport Scotland, this carries a wealth of added benefits to what we at Aberdeen Snowsports Centre already offer you.
These benefits include discounts at local shops, Scottish resorts, insurance and holidays, access to Snowsport Scotland courses and qualifications. This is all in addition to your discount on club session block bookings and workshop servicing at Aberdeen Snowsports Centre. More information will be given when your membership is renewed.
Both Aberdeen Snowsports Centre and the club will hold members details on file which will be used for communicating club activities and for passing on any other relevant information.
You have the right to opt out of this at the time of processing your membership.All club members will be encouraged to get involved in the running of the club and its activities.
From October 2009 the price for membership will be £8 for juniors, £12 for adults and £20 for families [2 kids/2 adults with any additional children £8]. This increase covers any affiliation fees and also contributes towards funds for the club. All customers will still receive a free public session or club session upon joining or renewing their membership.
The official launch for the club is September 26th which is also the date for the clubs AGM on this day between 5 and 8pm.
There will be a barbecue, fun competitions [freestyle, bumps, dual slalom] and of course the meeting. All members are encouraged to come along and participate or at least have a burger.
